Results of the SERASCA®-test explained:
Upon the receipt of the serum or blood samples, a small amount of the serum is collected and saved untill analysis. The analysis of the samples usually happens within two weeks after delivery but is subject to delay, depending on the amount of samples that are provided.
10 serum samples, 1 SERASCA®-testresult:
The 10 serum samples will be analysed by the SERASCA®-test and an average of the 10 testresults will be calculated. Using this average value we can determine the degree of infection intensity in your barn (Table 1).
If:
0.000 < Test result < 0.500 : None/very low infection
0.500 < Test result : Infection present

This result form gives you the exact result of the analysis of the farm in question and also positions the farm on a graph depicting the spread of all SERASCA results from the country from where the samples were sent (in this example: Belgium).
